Jesse Pangelinan was the first comic I got to work with on a “real” comedy show when Dana Smith gave me my first shot at MC-ing at the Velveeta Room.

After my set, Jesse said to me “ wow! YOU have improved!”

From a stand up comic that’s high praise!

Jesse never gave me any of the stereotypical cranky comic attitude: none of this “ I’m a real comic and I can’t socialize with the likes of you” s—t from him.

He was always friendly and polite to me.

His comedy was never mean spirited.

I’m glad I got to know him.
