This is the “Concrete Abuttment” scene, with all studio recorded voice over and no footage of you. I recorded it myself to give you an idea of what it would be like with all studio audio. Of course, the final version would be all your voice.
One claim of conspiracy theorists
is that the motorade route was deliberately moved
to ensure that the Presidents car went down Elm street (underneath the depository)
instead of Main Street
Here, as you can see, that is not possible,
because of the concrete abuttment between the two streets
This is Main Street here
Over here is Elm Street
Today, as in 1963, it is physically impossible to do that.
The only way to get to Stemmons freeway to the Trade Mart again
was to go down Elm Street.
And now you know the rest of the story.
More stories on the assassination, and the events leading up to it, in my latest book,
Countdown to Dallas,
Available everywhere books are sold. There is also a Countdown to Dallas Podcast produced by Evergreen Podcasting that is also available everywhere.
(NOTE: do you want to change that last line to list a specific URL or place to get the podcast? Put a website name/URL on screen?)
This is the same scene with enhanced audio. It still sounds a little “Off” ( warbly and robotic)
I am thinking I take the studio sound and cut it up to match your mouth movements ( luckily most of this doesn’t show your mouth too much ( you turn away from the camera several times). Perhaps you could watch this video with your ear buds in to help you synch up/ say the words the same way.) OR I might do a combination of studio sound and the enhanced natural sound.
Both versions of the Parade Route scene together. Note the “street sign” graphics I added over MAIN STREET and ELM STREET.
The Pink Pillbox hat story.
(Keep watching after the ending, there are TWO versions in this clip)
Jackies Pink Pillbox Hat
Paul, inside the infield:
“One of the great mysteries of the Kennedy Assassination
actually concerns an article of clothing,
We know that the famous pink and strawberry suit
that Jacqueline Kennedy wore that day is today –
it’s in the National Archives in Maryland.
But, the Crown jewel of that outfit, the Pink pillbox hat,
Where is that hat?
We know that on the ride to the hospital,
Jacqueline tore the hat off, flung it to the floor of the car, taking a tuft of her hair with it.
It was then handled or seen by a couple of people,
but the hat today remains missing
one of the great enduring mysteries of November 22nd, 1963.”
RUNNING UP THE KNOLL
Photos and Images taken moments after the assassination
showed people running up this… small hill
on the North Side of Dealey Plaza
Which would soon and forever be known as,
The Grassy Knoll.
(I am assuming more goes here, but what?)
And now you know the rest of the story
There are more stories, by the way, about the assassination in my latest book
Countdown to Dallas
The Man Hole Cover (Note there is a gap here where I think you planned to talk more about the manhole cover, but you never did. I improvised what I THOUGHT you might say based on what I learned from the Posner/Bugliosi books. Of course I am sure you are going to want to re-write it.)
Some conspiracy theorists even say
there was a gunman in this sewer here
Which was right in front of Elm Street.
The problem is that the only way in was by removing this heavy manhole cover. There was no other way out. Making getting IN to the opening without being seen almost impossible, and getting out of it after the assassination absolutley impossible.
And even if someone could get inside, it was only 3 feet deep, making it impossible for an average sized person to fit inside.
Which is all irrelevant because even if an assassin of well below average height somehow got IN to the hole, the angle was far too low to get a shot off at President Kennedy. Almost impossible to get into, impossible to get out of, and impossible to shoot the president from.
And now you know the rest of the story
